November 2007

Following on from September & October, November continued the calm and settled theme with the weather being dominated by anticyclonic conditions. A small breakdown during the middle of the month accounted for most of the rainfall which ended up being just below average. Day temperatures were generally above average but the nights were dominated by calm, clear conditions which dragged the mean minimum temperatures down below normal.

Main Summary

Comet Homes was visible throughout November. A rare glimpse of this normally elusive comet.

Comet Holmes (fuzzy green blob on the left) was visible to the naked eye in the constellation of Perseus throughout November.
