A warm, windy and very wet month with exceptional rainfall. The warmest November on record.

Night time temperatures were well above the average due to much cloud cover and a prevailing south westerly wind dominating the month.

 
Overall rainfall was around 300% of the LTA though this month's rainfall was not as anomalous as July 2009 (350%), despite this it was still the wettest November on record.
A relatively thundery month. No air frosts though this is not that unusual for November.
Sunshine levels were around average but there were no days without any cloud.
Soil temperatures were generally around normal though they ended up being slightly above average.
Winds were dominant from the south & south-west sectors.
Rainfall duration for the whole month was a very high 101.3 hours and reflected the exceptionally wet conditions prevalent throughout this month.
Sea temperatures gradually fell through most of the month though they did rise slightly mid-month.
Mean pressure was just a massive 12.5 hPa below normal and indicative of the extremely cyclonic nature of this month.
Dewpoints were generally above normal for most of the month but dipped at the very end of the month due to the first incursions of colder air.
Despite the high rainfall, the RH ended up being slightly below normal.
