Otter Valley

The Otter Valley starts in the Blackdown Hills to the north and meanders WSW towards Budleigh Salterton. The whole length of the river is a SSSI and a SAC. The last part of the river where it meets the sea is also a nature reserve famous for its over-wintering migratory birds.

The old railway bridge for the Ottery St Mary to Budleigh Salterton line. Now sadly disused (ripped up by Beeching).
