August 2018 – The halfway point

A brief spell of heavy rain early this morning soon cleared (with a sharp clearance) to sunny intervals. Despite being told how much cooler and fresher I will be feeling because of it, the day was still warm and extremely pleasant with moderate humidity.

A maximum of 22.9C and nearly 7 hours of sunshine.

This August (1st – 16th) so far: warmer and wetter than normal; sunshine around the average.

Mean max = 23.8C
Mean min = 12.7C
Mean = 18.3C
Rain = 47 mm
Sunshine = 120 hours.
